Situated amongst the rolling hills of the Khomas Hochland, located inside The Daan Viljoen Game Reserve is Sun Karros Daan Viljoen.
Favoured due to its close proximity to Windhoek and its tranquil setting, Sun Karros Daan Viljoen is a popular getaway for leisure, conference & events and day visitors who wish to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Namibian capital.
The 19 luxury en-suit chalets consist of a private patio and BBQ area fitted with a kitchen basin and prep area, patio table and chairs plus umbrella. The bathroom facilities include a shower, toilet, washbasin, shaver plug access and hairdryer. All chalet facilities include satellite TV, mini bar (stocked on request) aircon and ceiling fan, writers desk, luggage rack, small safe, coffee and tea station with a cutlery and crockery cupboard (stocked) and WiFi access in the room.
Our 12 campsites are nestled around the dam area on a grass terrace. Each camping island's facilities include a BBQ area, a kitchen basin 220v power supply and a light. The ablutions consist of 8 showers and 8 toilets and 12 wash basins.
At our reception guests have access to internet facilities, our well stocked kiosk and the lounge area. The Boma restaurant is where all meals are enjoyed and the grass terrace pool area is a sunbather's heaven.
The 4 000 hectare Daan Viljoen Game Reserve supports a healthy population of game typical of the Namibian highlands including giraffe, eland, kudu, oryx, mountain zebra, baboon, warthog, jackal and blue wildebeest to name but a few. With over 200 species of birds, Daan Viljoen is particularly popular for birding enthusiasts.

- Sun Karros Daan Viljoen's location inside the National Daan Viljoen Game Park gives visitors access to explore the game, historic grave sites and mountain scenes on foot as well as self drive. The park is home to more than 200 bird species. Come and enjoy one of two self guide walking trails (3 and 9km) plus a 6.5km 4x4 game route.
