Situated next to the B1 main Road in Mariental, we offer 7 luxury, air-conditioned chalets, featuring 3-,5- and 7- bed units with DSTV, private braai facilities, shaded parking and 24 hour security. All Chalets are spacious and fully equipped for self-catering, with breakfast served on request. We also have private camping sites, each with its own ablution facilities. The ideal stopover for families, hunters, fishermen and businessmen alike.
Reasonable prices and dedicated, friendly staff are our greatest assets on our conveniently located and child-friendly property.
Did You Know?
- Management is ready to assist in any inquiries and with the assistance of onward accommodation and the planning of travel itineraries.
- River Chalets had been established by Mr. And Mrs. Van Rooyen during 1998 when a shortage in informal and a relaxed style accommodation was identified in Mariental.
- Since the chalet system differ substantially from the hotel and bed and breakfast concept– being more private and creating a relaxed, rural atmosphere – the initial proprietors set about to establish River Chalets on the fringe of the Fish River which traverses on the northern side of our premises (although to visible).
- River Chalets have been owned and managed by the Garbers family since December 2002 and the continued successes resulted in an extension of the property when River Chalets II was established right on the other side of the River Chalet main entrance on the B 1 Main Road.
- Pets are allowed on very large premises
- We are the perfect gateway to Sossosvlei and the entire Southern Namibia
What To Do?
- There is a small children’s playground, private shaded parking for all chalets guests, private braai facilities for each chalet and at the camping sites, and there are guards protecting the premises for night time security
