For visitors who wish to explore the surrounds, Otjiwa's central location provides its guests with the perfect base from which day trips can be undertaken to the famous Etosha National Park, the Waterberg Plateau nature conservancy, a cheetah conservation sanctuary, dinosaur tracks (also known as spoor).  

The lodge is situated on the west side of the B1, 35 kilometres south of Otjiwarongo.
